133 men gathered for a fine breakfast at ‘The Factory’ Ministry Centre on Saturday June 2nd 2007.
The guest was Brad Mackay – Brad played for St George froim 1989 before accepting the captaincy of the Western Reds in 1995. Following the Perth club’s decision to join Super League, Mackay moved back east to join Illawarra before finally coming back to Saints when the joint venture was formed in 1999.
Following a stint in the UK, Brad Mackay went on to play in Thirroul and take up a job as a Fireman.
In 2003, he was active in fund raising for the Joanne Mackay Helping Hand Foundation following the death of his of wife, Joanne from breast cancer in 2002.
Somewhere in there, Brad became a follower of Jesus – and his testimony of God’s sustaining power and grace is encouraging and inspiring.
